Germany

Just back from northern Germany where I spent a lot of time alone in the woods . . . testing Fuji Acros film with super-long exposure times for my 'Soldbuch' work.

'Soldbuch'

Pictures taken in France as part of my long-term 'Soldbuch' project. Just before I took the top image a dog ran out of the gates and - although not exactly The Hound of the Baskervilles - went kind of berserk. My Leica CM had jammed, hence the double exposure.

Soldbuch dummy

Here are a few images of my 'Soldbuch' dummy. The book documents the period of time in 2008/2009 when I located my Grandfather's war grave and then attempted to walk 600 miles from central France to northern Germany - the journey home he had not been able to make himself. The end pages are prints of flowers - collected near Lyon - that I crushed onto blotting paper.
